Burger Boy

August 15th, 2008

Wanna meet up before the conference? Want to network, meet friends or make friends? What better way to do that than with a beer in one hand and a burger in the other. Dave Stone, is organising pre-party burgers! What a great way to hook up before the event! Go to http://icanhaz.com/flashburger for more details. Cool!

Mad dogs & eBayMen……….

July 18th, 2008

Are we mad, crazy, bonkers, doolally, around the twist, cuckoo, squiffy, nuts, bananas, fruitcakes?

Or do we just like to have fun at FOTB and try and be a little different from the crowd?

We try our very best to make Flash on the Beach the best conference around. We are constantly thinking of new ways to make the event better and more fun! Our latest hair brain idea is that we have just put 5 listings for 3 Day Conference Passes up on eBay! Bidding starts at £1.

Is this a mark of desperation on our part? NO WAY! Tickets sold are very close to last years attendance already, so we are doing this for fun! We just figured we’d give someone a chance to get a 3 Day Pass whilst having some fun themselves! We don’t care if they go for £1 or for the full face value - the idea is to be different!

Here are the 5 ticket auctions:

Go have some fun!

Tink - Genius!

June 16th, 2008

One of FOTB’s favourite speakers has had some fun adding his speaker badge to his site. Check out his header at his blog. We think it is fantastic and fits exactly with the spirit of the conference. Tink - Genius! Love it!

WARNING - PLEASE READ

May 21st, 2008

We have been contacted by an agency in London who have told us about someone calling them and saying she represented Flash on the Beach. She told them that FOTB was giving free tickets to London Agencies and that she needed the names and details of all the staff that wanted to go. She then provided false contact details.

THIS IS A SCAM! We do not ‘cold call’ agencies, we ARE NOT offering free tickets.

We can only assume that it is a headhunter or someone trying to build a database, but certainly it is someone fishing for information. If you get a call similar to this one, DO NOT fall for it!

Flash Conferences Price Comparison

October 7th, 2007

Looking through our stats, we found a very interesting blog post by JonnyMac. In his blog post he makes a comparison between Flash Conference prices, flight costs and hotels. Even with the very strong pound to dollar rate, his post makes very interesting reading! Check it out here.

FOTB07 Official Speaker Hotel

September 12th, 2007

Official Speaker HotelFlash on the Beach has chosen The Old Ship again as our speaker hotel this year. Last year it became the focus of many an after evening party! Right on the sea front, it dates back to 1559.

In it’s time it has welcomed a multitude of aristocracy and royalty - making it perfect for the royalty of Flash design and development!
